Myers Hotel & Steakhouse, formally known as “The Wildwood House” has been in existence for over 100 years. Started around the turn of the 20th Century by the Myers Family, the property has enjoyed a colorful past. Originally occupied as a “Railroad Hotel”, to provide accommodations & meals for railroad workers awaiting their next assignment. Mr. Ted Barczack, the 2nd owner, began working part time as a bartender while still in High School. After an interruption as a Soldier in WWII, Mr. Barczack returned to Salamanca & continued to serve local patrons & travelers. Sometime later he entered into a partnership with Mr. Stephen Myers until 1965 when Mr. Barczack purchased the property. He continued to operate the tavern & restaurant until his retirement in 1994. Local businesswoman, Rosalyn Hoag and her husband Donald Hammond, purchased the property that same year & made numerous upgrades & improvements. Extensive remodeling of the 2nd floor took place in 1997 turning what were 13 railroad dorm rooms & a single bath into a quaint, turn of the century Inn. Currently there are 6 nicely appointed guest rooms each with a full private bath, individual heat & A/C units as well as many antique furniture pieces.
The first floor has remained much the same as the early years. The walls are lined with American Wormy Chestnut, extinct in the U.S. for many years. Not only does this wood add warmth & beauty, but it has also become an attraction for visitors to this Historic Restaurant & Inn. While you are here please feel free to wander into our 2nd Dining Room or visit our White Tail Tavern & enjoy a libation while viewing our "Lodgey Chic" décor.

I stopped in Salamanca for a quick meal, I choose Myers Steakhouse. I took a seat at the bar as I was travelling alone. I spoke with the bartender, she was wonderful, welcoming and informative. I felt comfortable and relaxed in no time. She gave me some menu recommendations and introduced me to some of the locals as we spoke about my plans and adventures. I decided to spend the night at the hotel and spent the evening speaking with the locals, I felt as welcome as a long lost friend. The room was spacious, quiet and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The next morning I was rested and ready to continue on my journey. Thank you to the staff for providing me with one of the most comfortable and welcoming stays that I experienced during my lengthy, cross country travels. I will gladly return!

I had the Black and Blue Steak Salad, Greg had the BBQ Brisket with Pub Fries. Delicious. Our server was Sue. I believe she waited on us the first time we were there. If, you are in Salamanca/Seneca you HAVE to stay at Myers Steakhouse and Inn.

Gourmet dishes out of this world. Some of the best prime rib you’ll ever taste. Decor is enticing with rustic and historic elements. Kudos to this historic inn and restaurant. Will definitely be coming back.

We were a party of 14, made reservations several days in advance. Excellent meals, service, and atmosphere. All dinners were highly rated and enjoyed with ample servings. The dining area was warm and comfortable. Dinner rolls served warm and refilled as needed. A few were too hard to be enjoyed. Overall, we would all return.
